Jack Drum provides a wide range of high quality accessible arts activities for people of all ages and abilities across County Durham and the wider region. We run regular weekly sessions during term time for children and young people at our base in the St.Cuthberts Centre, Crook as well as activities for adults and families through our Colour Your Life and Community Learning programmes. We run a thriving youth arts café in the centre of Crook and have a lovely allotment in Roddymoor that we use to run outdoor arts and holistic therapy projects. Our outreach programme visits local schools, community centres, day care centres and residential homes around the County delivering unique projects that work towards live performances, film premieres and exhibitions. We are national partners of the British Council’s Active Citizens programme supporting local social action projects and are a BFI Network Film Academy providing filmmaking opportunities for young people ages 16- 19 year. Through our ROAD programme we are also able to provide access to a health trainer as well as other support for adults who need that extra bit of help to move themselves closer to employment.
